The ‘Raw materials area’ was established in 2010 by a protocol of agreement signed by CRIET, ‘ANIM’, ‘Assomineraria’, ‘AITEC’, and the ‘Ministry of Economic Development – DGS, Directorate-General for Security – UNMIG’. Subsequently they were joined by ‘ENEA’, ‘Confindustria Marmomacchine’ and ‘ANEPLA’. The ‘Raw materials laboratory’ is an active community within the main institutions and operators in the non-energy extractive sector, whose aim is to promote the cultural development of the sector and the adoption of methodologies of regulation and management which comply with the principles of sustainable development. The initiative has come to fruition through numerous research projects, in the creation of a permanent observatory for extractive companies operating in Italy and by participating in national and international calls for tenders.
A second area of activity concerns the oil & gas sectors, in relation to research projects into the evaluation of prospecting licenses and research into hydrocarbon cultivation concessions, as well as the management of the related economic revenues. The objective is to provide concrete support to institutions and operators involved in the raw materials’ energy sector.
